static model loading in XNA 3.0 : HELP NEEDED

Hi !!

I am new to XNA and trying  to build my own third person shooter game  and for that I have found this book as reference . It is very useful in many aspect but I am facing a problem when I am trying to load a STATIC MODEL (means no animation) just like building ,trees or rocks etc

 

I cant make it work because as the XNA book engine has used XNA ANIMATION COMPONENT LIBRARY , which only load animated models (i guess so).

Can anybody please help and tell me how to load a static model in this book engine code ,because I am using the same code I got with this book .So I cant switch to something new .Please try to help me with this .
